Moving the Aux Input

Featured Replies

My Yeti (used) didn't come with Bluetooth installed, so on a limited budget I've opted for a bluetooth adapter like this one

The device has is powered from the ciggy socket and connects to the headunit via the aux input in the jumbo box.

Generally this setup works great for £20! but is less than ideal with trailing wires, also I want to connect the device to a switched live feed so it automatically connects when I start the car.

I'm planning to piggy back a switched feed in the fuse box and run the wires for audio (Aux and Power) behind the dash.

Does anybody know how the Aux Input is run into the jumbo box? is it a dedicated fly lead from the back of the headunit or is it part of a loom?

Anybody have experience of running wires behind the dash at low level (not up high like a dashcam install)?
