PID custom maps

Featured Replies

Was wondering if it is possible to load custom maps, like you can on a Tom Tom?

As I missed the free two year updates on mine, I would like to use open map data to update the device.

I am not sure that's possible but someone here may know better. ........

Great stuff, that's the latest I think. It's what's on mine anyway. Google is your friend :-)

Would you mind sending me a PM of what google found? Much appreciated...

Me too please?

To clarify, my map was already up to date. I was just commenting on Masserator searching online for a way to update.... . .

Garmin PID unit simply uses .map files. It is perfectly ok to use maps from android garmin navigon apk, just copy map file to the device maps folder. As PID is not an option in my country, I managed to retrofit it and as maps for it is missing, thats how I solved it. (Including all POI)
