I was wondering if anyone else gets the same creaking noise when you press up and down on the clutch pedal it does it all the time when the engine is on it sometimes does it when the engine is off, but the last few days as soon as you turn the engine off the creaking stops. It can be heard inside the car when in stop start traffic but it is louder outside the car than inside the car.

I was going to suggest lubrication on the linkage, but it has a hydraulic clutch, doesn't it.

Maybe a loose bolt on the master cylinder causing vibrations on the firewall? Bad tranny mount causing misalignment?

Skoda garage has taken gearbox out as they say something had dried up and needed lubrication. The gearbox was removed under warranty the creaking went for 2-3 weeks then came back and now told it's something I will just have to live with as that is normal. The car has done 18,000 miles.
