People getting Remaps !!

Featured Replies

Hi

Just thought I would tell people what difficulty I

On the other side of the coin, i've done 15k since me remap, all hard, some track, without any clutch concerns whatsoever.

Not long now then

Maybe its down to the "quality" of the remap, i.e. is it a bog standard map thats downloaded or a custom map taking account of any other mods and driving style etc.....

I believe a lot of it is due to how smooth and aggressive the map is.

I like to think of the One-Click as a smooth and conservative map, and would be the choice for me if I was in the market for a map.

Is it a DMS map, quite a few are having clutch slip with it. Mind you most have clutch slip during cpld spells anyway. Go easy on the clutch for a while and do a search, quite a few clutch posts lately

Possible solution

EIP Tuning do uprated clutches for the stock dual-mass flywheel - the street version is rated to 345lbft and is a 6-puck metallic/fibre, the competition version is rated to 460lbft and is a 6-puck copper metallic, both priced at $499, which is only £282!!! These are US prices, Westec are agents over here but I don't know what they'll charge.

The one-click 180 is identical to the DMS map. Maybe you'll post your graph and we can compare them.

Can u give me the web site addy please black magic?

Your footers says you have the Dual System. Dual System do maps for the switcher box and AMD do the maps for the switcher box they call theirs the AMD -One Click, where as Dual System call theirs Dual System. I think that they are different maps.

Does any one know if there is a difference in the two maps/

DMS identical to One-Click?

I though AmD developped the maps for the one-click?

PM and added to original post, not my find just ripped them from a similar post on club SE.

To my limited knowlege, when I've seen graphs the're identical, with the dip at 3k.

give or take a few HP and Tq's. They must be downloaded from the same German source either that or both have came up with the same answer. Post your graph cause you don't test drive someone elses car for over 60miles.

What remap have you got?

Im just trying to make a point, u spend £500-600 on a remap then find out the drive train can not take the torque. I've had the remap in the car about 3 months, and it just started slipping. 5k I have made a few phone calls to star performance (Jim) who said the clutch struggles to take the extra torque.

Some people maybe luckY and get more life from theres.

Im just trying to warn people that it may happen to them, and would like the cheapest way of fixing the problem. (other then taking the map off !!)

As for the duel system remap jim said its one of his .

And im making a trip up to starperformance to get one fitted !!!

Tis strange, some get slip with this map some don't. Brians car (Jims son) runs 215bh and 330 tq's and his clutch slips now and again, 2 trackdays ago it did and last time it was OK.

Think it's time to bully Jim into getting an EIP group buy. I'll call him monday.

Switch back the map and give the clutch a rest then try again, don't keep pushing it in the short term.
