DSG gearbox Octavia 2011

Featured Replies

Hi, anyone know about the 7 speed dsg gear box. Are there sensors on this gearbox that get worn and makes it think that it is still in neutral?

If you are having issues with your 7 Speed DSG (DQ200)

Has it been in for the Service Campaign which started in the UK in May 2014.

A measure required to prevent possible issues with some boxes, not all require it, and it is done Free.

The Synthetic Oil is changed to Mineral and a Software Update on the DSG ECU.

This is what was done in New Zealand, the MCU was replaced,

and there was a World Wide Recall, except in the EU / UK which somehow is not in the world.

check for swarf on the magnets by removing the mechatronics unit.

What basically happens and it is only recently, when you put it into drive after sitting still for awhile or cold, it acts as it is in neutral. If you then go through the selector and back to drive it is ok. James@RRGRochdale, not sure what the swarfs are but will ask the garage, when I get it put on diagnostics. Thank yopu both.

swarf are unwanted metalic particles that can build up on the position magnets and distort the signals viewed by the mechatronics unit.
