Can't Select driving driving mode

Featured Replies

Morning guys

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else before....2016 VRS 184 diesel, had it one week, jumped in it last night pressed VRS button to select sport mode but it would let me? Tried a few more times during the 15 minute journey, still nothing, the button was flashing but no selection on the screen, stopped a couple of times, engine off/on, still wouldn't work.

Arrived at destination, engine on/off worked first time? It was a cold evening (3 degrees) wondered if maybe this is a safety feature? Oil up to minimum temp before mode change?

Possible it's stored fault code, go or call dealer as soon as. That's what warranty and dealers are for

It shouldn't do that, something went wrong somewhere :)

I had my MY15 TDI VRS do this a while back... see here..

I did a bluetooth update and got the latest software on the infotainment (but guessing your has this already) but it has ever really played up again and i think it was spooked by plugging the phone in or something via bluetooth.

I sometimes get the radio changing stations on its own on my columbus (my wifes Scout's amundsen does this more) but a hard reboot of the radio (holding down the on/off button for over 30seconds) generally seems to resolve this.

Hopefully just a one off for you.
