The bolts that secure car seats to the floor... Are they m8 bolts?

I think they are, but M8 x 1 (fine pitch) rather than standard M8 x 1.25, I think.  Will check and confirm.

 

Edit: Can't find anything to suggest it's a fine pitch thread now that I look, so I may have invented that in my head.  I'm afraid I can't quite be bothered to take one out and check for you.

Standard Hex Head bolts work fine in a pinch - but make sure they are High tensile ones & not cheap B&Q ones. Hex head clears runners fine & arent any bigger (higher) than the spline bolts.

 

Also thread is standard M8 x 1.25 pitch.
