Columbus in VW

Featured Replies

I just bought a Vw so have took the Columbus out of the Octavia to fit. It's all working fine but I recall seeing somewhere it was possible to change the screen colour. Does anyone know how to do it? I can live with the green lights but red menus would be nice. Incidentally if anyone has the VW version and wants to trade I'm happy to do so?

This link may be of help.

Baaa, says it can't be done after reading all that. Unless anyone knows different?

There are tools out there that can change the brand of RNS 510 such as 'CarEQO RNS 510 Service Tool' - it's much cheaper to buy a VW unit though :)

I can do this for you. I can also swap the fascia over to a VW one to give red button illumination if you wish.

How much would it cost @rustynuts

Give me the part number off the top of the unit and I'll give you an idea of costs. As said above though, probably be more cost effective to buy a VW one and sell yours. Use it as an upgrade path and you can justify the cost more.

I have a VW unit in a Skoda.............

What's the difference? I'm not up on all the numbers

Had a quick look around and can't see a reason not to do this :)
