New rear shocks - best place & what brand to buy.

Featured Replies

I believe its time to get new rear shocks for my Fabia VRS- its done 150k & is 13 years old so its long over due. (front ones were done last year)

However, I was quite surprised to see the price of them on Eurocarparts - £50 EACH! Thats £15 more than the front ones. After a quick look on eBay its seems that I can pick up two for less than £50 but I have no idea what brand to get & dont want some generic cheapo brand thats going to fail after a month or so.

Has anyone got any recomendations on what brand to get.

Ta.

Get Bilstein B4's, OEM+ excellence.

Thanks - I'll get a couple of those. Is it worth replacing the upper mountings as well or do they only need replacing when theres knocking etc.

I noticed that both rear tyres have started to wear on the inner edges,  I've put this down to 'over excessive' driving & worn shocks.

Replacing rear top mounts isn't necessary they don't wear, they're just a mounting bracket.
