So I can get android auto to work but face it looks and feels rubbish

But the Mirrorlink connects on my Samsung S5 (Lolipop) but say there are no compatible apps on the device.

I thought the likes of Spotify , Gmaps etc worked on this but just wondered if anyone else had managed to get an S5 to work with thier Columbus.

I have got smart link working... And while it's ok,it's not ideal with the data for streaming always dropping out.

same Škoda(.hit) with Samsung Note4, i can see only SmartGate apps

 

but what idiots have developed SmartGate is another story

Hmmm think I have found the root of my problem.

Time for new USB cable.

I use original Samsung USB cable, and so far smartgate is by far the worst spended £100 ever.

I do get some vehicle data from Smartgate, but as my data connection get lost it is useless. Can't have the link operative during my journeys then.

Can't get mirrorlink to work either. It forces me to connect to smartgate, but even if I do I get no apps. Anyway, without data connection..... Useless!

Samsung S6 btw.
