Please help

 

I picked up a 1.8 TSI DSG last week, I notice that there is a rasping/growling noise whilst accelerating or under load.

I was told by the garage I got the car from that this is normal, however when I took my Dad out (Yeti DSG owner) he thinks it is not.

 

Can anyone shine any light on this please.
