Sony Vaio Laptop.

Featured Replies

After the wife getting a new laptop, I get to have her old one, so my old laptop is now surplus to requirements. It's a Sony Vaio VPCEH-2H1E in white, about 4 years old, and in fair condition overall. It's been used for mucking about on the web while she had it, and then been used by me for VCDS and Columbus coding etc.

It has a Core i3 2.2Ghz processor, 4Gb ram, 500Gb hard drive (full specs available here https://www.reevoo.com/p/sony-vaio-vpc-eh2h1e)

Good points are it has good battery life at about 2 hours or so with easy use, has a clean install of Windows 7 and been updated accordingly, and comes with Etka installed and working.

Bad points are the usual wear and tear, like the mouse/track pad has a wear mark on it, there's a missing rubber pad on the lid where it closes, and worst of all the screen has two lines of pixels which have failed. I'm unsure if this is a screen issue or a different fault, but it must be hardware as everything has been reloaded and not fixed it.

Charger is included, and collection preferred from North Yorks area.

Pics to follow when it's finished reinstalling Windows.

Price £50.

Just checked and a new screen is about £35, and a walk in the park to replace it.  Can do this for the cost of the screen if anyone wants.

How much to post mate, would be ideal in my boot for vcds

I'll check postage costs and get back to you.

UPS is about £9, plus insurance at whatever. I've estimated the weight at 4Kg so it should be about right.

Then again, I just ran a trial for checking the insurance and it's classed as a restricted item and no insurance possible, so apparently "Send at your own risk!", so that's not so clever.

Whereabouts do you live?

I'm in Harrogate Rusty.

I'll leave it for now mate, I'm an Apple freak but I might buy a VCDS but they  don't run on a Mac ( don't think so ) so will need a Windows PC

BUT.................I'm thinking of a remap

Thinking,  thinking,  thinking

If someone wants it let it go.........Thanks

Well, it's for sale until it's sold. Let me know if you want it, I'll be heading down to Bishop Thornton at some point in the near future I think if that's any help.
