O2 (lambda) Sensor Type

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I started fixing my Fabia 6y2 1.4 16v AUB. I have the check engine light on and after a DTC read I found that the EGR and the Lambda sensor are the culprits. Next week I will clean the EGR but in the mean time I want to order a new lambda sensor.. the thing is I can't seem to find the correct one. Is it with 4 or 5 pins?

Which is the correct one ?

Thank you very much guys!

There are two lambda sensors, one before the cats, one after. Which one is the trouble-code indicating?

Front (before cat) one is VAG part number 036906262G, rear (after cats) is VAG 036906262D. Info from here.

Cleaning the EGR itself is unlikely to be useful, cleaning the pipework in and around the throttle body where the end of the metal pipe comes in is usually more productive, because that's where any blockage occurs.

What were the DTC codes exactly?

Thanks Wino! I'll have to get back to you later today on this one because I'm at work now I don't have the error code print on me.
