Nokia N70 - anyone got one?

Featured Replies

Mine's arriving from O2 sometime this week (hopefully).

Just wondering if anyone on here used one, and what they thought. Have I made a good choice? :)

One of my mates in work has just got his -- cracking phone, although a little more complicated than the normal Nokia's due to the sheer amount it will do !

I've just ordered one on a new orange contract so I hope it's good.

I think I read somewhere you can get tomtom to run on it, I wonder if this would be a better way of having tomtom, less clutter etc as you could just use a pro clip on the dash vent where you would have the phone anyway so one less box stuck to the windscreen or mounted on the dash. Maybe i'll end up getting a tomtom 1 though as they do look nice....

Mine came today, I think you'll be impressed

You can run TomTom on it, yes, the Mobile version. Might give that a try when my bigger memory card arrives. I already have it in-car through a PocketPC but I'd be interested to know how useable it is on a smaller screen.

What memory did your phone come with and what did you order as an upgrade?

Did you get the memory upgrade online?

Thanks, :)

Comes with a 64mb card as standard. About half of that is filled as well, with the default Nokia apps.

I've ordered a 512mb card from a reputable eBay seller. It uses a RS-MMC card. Make sure you get a dual voltage card if you're upgrading, otherwise it won't work. Needs to be able to operate at 1.8 and 3.6v. Most cards run on the latter. I got a Kingston one - works out just short of £30 with postage.

Excellent, thanks for the tip. I'll have a look on ebay since I almost live on there already, it's like a 24 hour shop that I spend too much time and money in.

Tell me about it

Enter this as a search and it should come up, save you having to cut through the usual phone-related rubbish! "512mb DV RS MMC"

I've found it, thanks a bunch. :)

I wonder if there is a demo of the tomtom mobile program. Would be handy to see it running.
