New to the Mk2 - daft questions

Featured Replies

I'm now the proud owner of a Mk2 vRS estate.  I'll post some photos when it's had a clean.

It's running on the original 17" wheels which are great in terms of ride quality, but looks wise they aren't my cup of tea.  What et and width are they?  The wheels sit way too far into the arches for my liking and I'm already considering some replacements, still in 17" form but with a different design.

Also, I wasn't lucky enough to get a car with xenons and am looking for some replacement bulbs.  I think the current ones must have been designed in the 1950s as they are absolutely rubbish.  Any advice on those would be welcome.

Thanks,

Andrew.

As far as bulbs go, I'd recommend Autolamps Cobalt II.

Regal auto bulbs are cheap with fast delivery.

I should know better but was feeling particularly lazy when I posted. :notme:

I've since taken your advice and now know the answer to the wheel questions.

I might go down that route but compared to the 19" rims I was running on the Vectra it's like a magic carpet ride at the moment.  I'll have a think about going up a size but I've just bought some new tyres all round as the Chinese ditchfinders have tried to kill me twice already.
