Installing a Projectors with Shutters

Recommended Posts

Hello

I am planning to fit a Xenon Projector in my 2006 L&K Octavia Pre-FL

As it is L&K it have OEM Xenons , But I want to replace it with a new Projector which have a shutter . The projector will fit in my headlamps assembly all I want now is the shutters to work . To get it working as far I know I have to run a wire from CECM to the shutters.

So my question is is it possible with my current CECM and which Pin out should be used for the shutters.

I also have xenon on my pre fl and i am interested of this thing.

For the shutter wire i suppose you can use the hi beam wire.

What projectors do you found that are straight fit?

Keep us informed with the job.

Are you planning to change it from behind or you want to take apart the glass from the headlight?

I am not good with czech language but it seems that one guy tried to do the bixenon thing

Replacing the projector is not a problem , I can open the from glass housing and remove the projector . The main thing is wiring the solenoid motor which activates the ****ter for high beam .

It can be coded via VCDS (Xenon with shutter installed) but the positive wire of Solenoid will goes in CECM to activate . I do not know the pin in CECM . The part no. Of my CECM is 3C0 937 049 AE (3C0937049AE) – 23 Byte – Highend. I guess it can get the job done . But do not know which pin to connect .

This would help you. It's for Golf V

And how i see in this topic http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3552517-Golf-V-GTI-OEM-Xenon-Installation-Completed it seems that shutter is commanded by high beam.

It also says : 'I had to connect a cable that says "lights-on" to the A connector of the CECM pin number 2 and i hat to solder it.'

Do you know what it is at pin number 2?

As far my finding and reading mociclistu's link (many thanks for that)

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3597373

I am sure it is A/5 and D/6 for Right and Left side Headlights but according to Mike's post for CECM pin out information A/5 and D/6 pins are "Not Assigned" . I guess only thing is left for me is to check them by my self after coding it with VCDS .

If any one has done it any help will be highy appreciated.
