Wheel trims from SuperSkoda

Featured Replies

They advertise Rif (they call them Tempel) 16" OEM wheel trims for £62 delivered. (For my winter wheels). The last time I asked the local dealer it was double that but I think they've come down a bit now.

My current ones came from Maccess wholesalers and cost £12 + VAT and a set of self adhesive centre stickers from Ebay completed the ensemble and they look OK, albeit they're starting to look a bit tired after 5 years. Maccess went broke last year. It was an Aladdins Cave...and now it's gone :-(

Anyone used SuperSkoda lately?  They're a long way away and it's a big box to send...perhaps it'll be Ok?

I suppose the alternative is to spray them and use a clear coat to seal them?  Sod's Law dictates if I get the new Rif's I'll scratch them within a week.

Thanks muchly for the quick replies.  I can't see in the first advert that P&P is free but I can ring them.

Re. the second set, I have to say they're not quite what I would like...too many spokes to clean between. They're £58 including P&P.

£62 from SuperSkoda is good considering the delivery is from a long way away...but, admittedly, I'd sooner be able to pick them up locally and avoid the possibilty of damage in transit, but rather resent the inflated cost at the local dealer.

Thanks again.

I thought free postage had finished but the order I made on-line about a week ago was post free.

Further thanks. Incidentally, what are those on Techie's car called?

In actual fact, the more I look at the Rifs and compare them to the ones above and to Techie's ones I see that the Rifs aren't as simple to wash as I thought...Techies look a bit simpler.

The RIFs suit the Yeti and the holes line up perfectly with the holes in the OEM steel wheels.  They are very easy to keep clean.

Thanks very much. Julie. Really helpful.

Indeed, I think they look fine.  Others are often dismissive of plastic wheel trims - and consider alloys are the only acceptable option.  We all see things diffently, do we not?

Yes, I put the original alloys on in the summer and yes they look fine - but never feel embarrassed about the winter wheels.

Thanks.
