If you mean that you fully disassembled the motor module and tested the motor itself separately, then I suggest you very thoroughly clean the two connections between motor and circuit-board, and all the pins of the connector on the outside of the module. I used electrical contact cleaner and a lolly stick to push white paper soaked in the stuff up and down both sides of each pin, I seem to remember. You'll see the grime come off onto the white paper, so keep using fresh bits.

Ahh yes I think I understand.

As a new member but infrequent user of forum type sites and having problems of my own with driver's electric door window, it’s obvious this problem is a failing with the car. I have noted all over the internet the Fabia range (probably same part in Polo and other VAG too) has a weakness here especially on the driver’s door electric window, (which as noted by others too) can even stop the passenger electric window working also. The window motor unit is around £140 apparently to replace. It has an electronic processor inside communicating with the main ECU on the vehicle via canbus (communication bus), but can be repaired at a fraction of this cost. I have just successfully proven this on my wife’s 2005 Fabia 1. Both windows have now burst into life. The passenger window operation was probably restored through the canbus when the fault on the driver’s electric door window motor was corrected. The electronic components here are delicate, but having the right tools will save damage to the board. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] for offer of repair.

Hope this helps

Hello FabiaGuy, welcome to the forum.

Are you offering a commercial fixing service, or are you willing to share the knowledge you have acquired about these modules?  Your post reads more like the former than the latter.

If that wasn't the intention, maybe you'd like to elaborate on what you've found?
