Octavia Mk1 4x4 Elegance - Rear Window wiper restore

Featured Replies

So the washer pump was pumping but the arm wouldn't move and only a spot or two of water came out the squirter so I took the mechanism apart, gears wee rusted and seized, found a small blue washer had worn and was the cause of the leaking.. omitted this and the 90 degree plastic fitting it goes into and connected the water supply pipe directly to the shaft so now no chance of water leaking into the mechanism..  cleaned the lot up and it all works like a charm.

Only thing now is to re-fit the plastic bulkhead which is tricky as f***
