skoda scout 2007 Rear Fog Lights

Featured Replies

Recently got both of my rear fog lights activated by a local briskoda chap call zach and got them working fine apart from output on right side is 95% or 11.5volts and left side output 12% or about 2volts anyone now know why so low voltage on left side if anyone knows how to match it to same as right side fog light please let me know thanks.

Cheers Mike!

I new there was another box somewhere. Just couldn't place it!

I'll take another look

The dim left side one suggests to me that the fog light on that side is not actually activated, and the dim light is purely the normal tail light (which uses the same bulb.) It is a single filament bulb that glows dim for tail, and goes brighter when the fog is switched on. Switch the rear fog light off by the headlight switch and you should see both sides at the same brightness when the side/headlights are on.

I would suggest checking the coding again -- on a preFL 2007 like yours there are two boxes to tick in VCDS. One selects one or two rear fog lights. That needs to be set to two. On the next page, the other box that needs ticking is for activation of two rear fogs. If that isn't ticked, the left one won't work even if the first box is ticked.

Hope this helps

Mike
