Right light has gone. What are the best replacement bulbs to go for? I have seen LED and HID bulbs from halfords. Any good? Or is there something better to look at?

What's best is largely a matter of personal opinion. Many swear by HIDs, I swore AT them! They're not without their problems, as I found out.

 

I went for http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H7-Twenty20-Daylight-120-12V-55W-477-Halogen-Bulbs-Pair.html and I'm happy with the performance. Even with auto lights I've had no problems.

Any other recommendations for headlamp bulbs? As Iv one blown and need to replace both.

Philips xtreme vision or Osram nightbreakers are probably best for output. I found I was replacing them every 3-6 months due to the miles I cover.

 

In the end I used a Philips Longlife EcoVision H7's which had plenty of light output and were still going strong after 6 months of winter use.

Bosch pure light. Which winners and have been very good for neigh on 2 years.

Iv bought some Osram Nightbreakers, will be interesting to see what they are like.

Will report back once they have arrived and Iv fitted them.
