Maybe not well known outside of the trials world, but a massive influence on the sport in my younger years. Martin passed away after suffering a year long battle with cancer.

Sad news indeed, I remember his elder brother Arthur battling with Dave Bickers and Jeff Smith i n scrambling (motcross)on black and white TV on Saturday afternoon sports (probably grandstand) in the sixties.

I used to watch them both at Bainbridge sports, both on grasstrack and hill climb. Real proper excitement for a young lad.

Sad news. RIP.

On the plus side, at least he left a next gen nutter as part of his legacy!
