ObdII

Featured Replies

I bought a cheap obdII wifi adaptor to use with carista but cannot fit it in. The pins look correct, but the size of the plug is too big and fouling on the plastic trim surround. Anyone had this issue?

No, which one did you buy?

I have the blue one in the link. It's very stiff to push on but definitely fits my mk2 fl. It's a pain to get back off as it's so small though.

The fit is tight, are you sure you have it the right way up ?

As an aside (sorry chrisw3205) ... do people leave their OBD2 adaptors plugged in all the time, or unplug after use ?

Just curious ..

I unplug mine. I think I read somewhere that they still draw (a relatively small) current which could lead to battery charge depletion over an extended period.

I unplug by Bluetooth one and just keep it in one of the storage compartments

A question I had on my mind to.

Thanks all. It is very tight, did not want to force it. Will try again.
