vrs 170 tdi clucth dmf issue

Featured Replies

I think it's starting to slip, getting a few quotes and keep getting asked Wether I want smf or dmf. Has anyone fitted a smf and what's the difference? Some people say they chatter some people say they don't.

I believe it's slipping as if 4th gear underlay changing into 5th at 2000 revs the Rev slight jump up a bit, doesn't do it in any other gear though.

Thanks

Have a look at the 'Solid flywheel conversion' post Pinned at the top of Skoda Octavia II page. It may help.

Cheers dude will have a read :)

I fitted a heavy duty Valeo clutch and solid mass flywheel when I had my Golf, the clutch was a bit heavier due to the stronger clutch springs but apart from that it pretty much felt the same as having a DMF. I was going to put one in my last Passat but was advised not to as apparently you can get some noticeable vibration in the longitudinal engines.
