V-Band & Gasket

Featured Replies

Has anyone changed it.Mine has become sooty around it and i have alway's thought it sounded like it was blowing a little.

Part's have arrived.Just wandered if anyone has changed there's.or any tip's advice.

Engine cr170.

Thanks

Plenty. Which way up is the bolt facing? I usually use a long ball ended 5mm Allen key. Undo the bolt and pull the clip off. Remove the 13mm bolt from the back of the head by the cambelt cover. You normally have to give the DPF a tap and it will move so you can get the gasket out.

That 13mm bolt is what hold's the DPF to engine?

Mine is missing. When DPF was gutted i think it was never replaced.

Probably why it's shifted.

Looking at the pic from my progress thread. The threaded cylinder is facing up,so allen is facing down,Do i need put it back the same?
