Door card

Featured Replies

I need to take off the drivers door card tomorrow as the window won't close last couple of inches. Doing this on other cars in the past all the clips break and it never goes back on the same and tips?

P's.hope it doesn't rain tonight

Thanks in advance Jason

There's a thread on here about changing a door latch which shows how to remove the door panel.

^^there is, and it's not too bad a job. I've never broken any clips and card is secured with torx screws. One tricky bit is pushing it up out of the window runner, don't put too much force on the rear alone or it could bend around the contour near the mirror switch. That's assuming your cards are the same as in the vrs.

Thanks for the advice guys I just found Bowders1 door latch post he has described and added step by step photos so will use that tomorrow. Be prepared for tomorrows window mechanism questions

When taking all the doorcards off the Octy track car I found it handy to wind the window right down and use a screwdriver to pry upwards on the top of the doorcard from the outside.
