it only happens on the net,i was downloading a lot of music on linewire then experiencing problems with computer crashing, defragmented computer to try and fix it this is when all photo's became blurred, could it be doing it because the firewall thinks it is unsuitable material?

Sounds like a graphics isuue mate as already stated. Firewalls can prevent access to unsuitable websites if you wish but i've never heard of them blurring images.

If the graphics settings are ok you could try using Mozilla Firefox for browsing. It may solve your problem and it's more secure than Internet Explorer. By the way, I wouldn't mention downloading from Limewire, you never know who is reading on here.

I am guessing you have a tft as you havent answered. It's possibly down to not having the resolution set to the native resolution of the panel. for example 17" tft's normally have a naitve resolution of 1280 x 1024. This is because thats how many crystals it has (or something). This means that if you use a smaller resolution everything has to be upscaled to fit the size of the screen. This causes blurring and blending to occur making the picture less sharp. Also the refresh rate needs to be set to the native one of the panel for optimum sharpness
