Closing sunroof

Featured Replies

Hi , I've just been out to clean my car and noticed that the front part of my panoramic sunroof is tilted up from when I recently operated it.   I've tried to fiddle with the controls to close it, to no avail, and as usual the manual is unhelpful.  It's probably just me, but can anyone help.   Thanks, Mike.

I have similar intermittent problems with my sunroof. Usually turning the engine off, waiting and restarting allows the roof mechanism to close.

Ironically, it seems to be about spring time that it has problems. Not during the winter (I do use it occasionally) and not in the summer. Odd.

Which reminds me; there was a recall on sunroofs: I must check which vehicle and what for...

To close the sunroof you put your thumb on the lip at the front of the rotary dial and pull it down.

You'll need the car powered up to do this.

Or press and hold the Lock button on the keyfob to force autoclose of doors and windows.

Just re-read the OP, and it is the FRONT that is sticking up.

I presume this is the bit facing towards the front of the car? In which case, something is wrong and sticking / stopping the front edge of the glass from dropping into place before the rear edge is pulled down.

In which case, I suspect that this is a different problem to mine.
