Hi people. Right the switch has stopped working so I can only lock the car, I Brought a new switch... is there a how to quide? I know how to take the side trim off, but how do I get the old switch out to put the new one in?.

I was hoping I didn't have to take the whole centre out lol

I have done it by pushing the switch down in the console, and then removing the gearstick gaiter to get to remove the switch through the hole and disconnect the wiring.

 

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Ok cheers mate... I was going to do that but just wanted to make sure I didn't snap any lugs lol

Its quite a stiff clip that holds the switch up, but should be fine to push out! 

 

The front edge is the one that would lever out if you were doing it properly, so I'd push on the front edge
