OBD 2 port not accessible

Featured Replies

got a 2012 skoda octavia and i am trying to plug an obd2 reader into the cars obd2 port.

thing is the trim around the port that surrounds the bonnet lever obstructs the reader going in

anyone else had this issue, don't really want to start cutting away the trim on a 4 year old car

I'd either trim some material off the reader or grab a OBD2 extension cable.

That must be one XXL connector then. :o

I had this issue with my bluetooth dongle. It's quite bulky and fouls the trim.

Luckily my diagnostics came with an adaptor cable with a slimmer plug.

have sorted the issue. moulded into the trim is a peg that is supposed to locate into a hole but doesn't.

i trimmed the peg down which allows the trim to go further in and allows the reader access to the obd2 port
