Columbus USB input overriding Bluetooth when using MFSW

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just picked up my Octavia today. I have an issue with the Columbus satnav unit.

I am streaming Spotify Bluetooth audio from my iPhone but also have the iPhone plugged in to the usb socket to charge.

Problem is that when I operate the controls on the MFSW to skip track it automatically switches from Bluetooth to the music that is on my iPhone memory.

Is there anyway to stop this other than unplugging the phone from usb?

Ant ideas? Is this something others have experienced?

Must be the USB connection causing the problem.

Happens to me too - I haven't looked myself, but on another forum someone mentioned that the manual states you shouldn't use the USB + bluetooth at the same time as it's not designed to work that way. I have the same setup as you - BT connection, and USB charging the iPhone from the USB connector in the dash.  When I use spotify and skip a track, it starts playing from the iOS music app.  I've started using Apple Music now instead of Spotify, so not really an issue for me anymore.

If it's really bugging you, I would suggest just using a ciggy lighter charger for the phone.
