Filter now changed

Featured Replies

Fuel filter is now changed and using my vcds I purged the system a couple of times

Engine fired up first time

Yes I know I could have topped up the fuel and cranked over til it started but I didn't feel it would do the hpfp any good

Vehicle is used as a taxi so so am going to change the fuel and filter together at 10,000 intervals so I believe the £209 I paid for the vcds will pay for itself.

May start a hire service for the vcds if anyone interested

Where did you get the vcds? I have considered it myself but not sure which connection I need.

Take a look in the VCDS section, all the info needed is in there, including maps and lists of current VCDS owners

Most folks seem to get their VCDS leads from Gendan, address on the Ross-Tech webside under UK suppliers.

If you want the lead purely for a 2010 Octavia you can get a microCAN lead -- note though that if you want to help anyone else out, you'd be better with a HEX+CAN which will do all the VAG cars, not just those that are canbus based.

Unless you buy it from Marshalls ind' and get a free case     ;)
