Really ??? More changers?????

Wow there is 3 slots!

I could have 18 discs!!!!

I'm not sure but I reckon they are for storing two more 6 packs of discs.

They will be the storage areas for the optional TV Tuner & first aid kit that are available in some countries.

They should be roughly din sized if there the ones i'm thinking of. You cant connect more than one changer BTW.

yes they are din size.

I gues I'll have to try to find a din size cd holder???

As they changer is a front loader like the vw ones and does not take a cartridge.

Someone must do one?????????????

Sorted the nav voice - it was in a radio menu!?!?!

To turn of sat nav voice (you may know how to do it by now) -

Press the button with the musical note on it (just above volume control) -

On the righthand side of the screen you will see "volume" - press the button which is next to it.

Now select sat nav volume / mute.

Job done, hope this helps.

is it a vrs by any chance??

Not sure why the extra slots are there TBH but they are perfectly sized to accomodate my MStation MP3 player so i'm a happy chappy. Haven't fitted it yet though.

Congrats on the new motor by the way. You'll love it

Figured the voice mute out thanks! - just didnt spot it first time round!

Even got the clock as well - how i didnt spot the **** before i'll never know!!!!

As for the car - its great!

The suspension is quite firm though, I have just clocked 1000m in it after getting on thursday.

It flies though!!!

Anyone else got one and maxed it out yet?

Mine is 120 then up in to 6th and I stoppped at 130 (on a closed road of course)

Do find the stereo is a bit tinny up load loud, must try the tweeter mod I think.

Congrats on the new motor. Any photos?

I think i'm right in thinking that you went for the 2.0 TDi Octbeavia. I'm assuming you went for the sports suspension too. I test drove an OctyII with sports suspension and it had great road handling but I doubt SWMBO and the kids would be that happy with the hard ride. The standard suspension is a very good compromise between ride and handling though IMO so I stuck with that.

I did an experiment on a deserted roundabout in the early hours last week and can confirm that this car is an entertaining drive but a real handful with ESP off.

If you didn't get ESP be warned. It's that peaky torque curve that you have to watch out for. It's a bit like turning a switch on and off.

Haven't maxed mine out but been over the ton at which stage it was still pulling like a train so i'm not surprised at your experience. I imagine you would need that 6th gear though to drop the revs a little and make use of the last bit of low end power once close to the 130mph mark. I agree on the stereo. trouble is the bass speaker points to your thigh and there's no separate midrange speaker. I plan to hopefully make pods to the door pocket bottle holders to house 10cm midrange speakers and install a sub to take a bit of the low end load off the front bass speakers.

No I didn't get ESP which I forgot to order but is does have ASR which cuts in and out like traction and on roundabouts as well when you stick your foot down!

It does handle really nice with the suspensio kit and the 17's on and looks a lot better too!

When I clean it i'll take a piccy as its filthy at the mo!!!!!

I really like the little sport boot spoiler as well, it makes it look different to all the others on the road epecially in the grey colour it looks quite stealthy! Just need window tints now!!!:D

Have you got nav on yours?

I am trying to figure out the TMC it doesn't appear to work?

I have to agree that the 17's look better than the standard 16's but i'm likely to damage mine at some stage so repair should be cheaper on the 16's and i didn't want to spend the extra money on the aesthetics which don't bother me.

I didn't go for Sat Nav on mine so can't really help there. I needed a new PDA so went for a Mio A201 with Windows Mobile 5 and CoPilot 6 software. I'm well pleased but I have to admit the screen is a bit small to operate the touchscreen accurately on the road but the maps and instructions are the best i've seen yet and the 3d mode is good too. Coverage here in N.I. is a bit lacking but better than Tom Tom so i'm happy enough.
