Parts number for handbrake helper spring

Featured Replies

Hi iv been told they have changed the parts number for the springs is this true as iv got two off here from an old thread

Try S7H0615296 and S7H0615295A.

I used these when I changed my rear discs and pads the other week:

They're the 1K0 springs which take quite a bit of force to compress but they fit and do the job rather well. If you have a search there's a fairly long thread showing the different types and how they look fitted etc. I'll pop out to the car and grab a couple of pictures if that'll help

PITA to find if you search for handbrake return springs or something like that. Luckily I have my laptop in front of me and I think the most helpful/long thread I used was this one:

Springs from the VW t4 van I used which are the softer option, then when it gets worse (usually drivers side) swap it for the stronger Passat springs..
