Missus currently has a 55 plate TFSI VRS estate and Im running a 54 plate A4 Quattro estate but often find we use her car due to more room/bigger boot so Ive been thinking about a tdi Scout as I quite like them. 

 

Anyway it wont be going offroad etc and Id use original wheels + winter tyres during winter months however I really fancy putting a set of 18in or even 19in wheels on the Scout.  I know this to some seems daft but I hate the originals sizes.  

 

Anway Ive searched google and not really come up with anything.  Has anyone ever seen a Scout with bigger OEM wheels? 

 

I was thinking 18in VRS or even 19in Audi A4/A6 as they should come with right sized tyres.

Bear in mind the Scout has an odd size tyre to start with. normal Octavia's with 17" wheels will have 225/45/17 whereas the scout has 225/50/17, so the speedo etc. is calibrated for this size.

To have a equal tyre circumference you need 225/45-18 or 225/40-40 tyres. Then the speedo will show approx the same as original tyres.

I've seen lots of Scouts on 18's and always thought they just don't look right... until this guy posted a picture of a pre-FL Scout on the 18" alloys off the VW Passat Alltrack.

 

Perhaps I'm biased (as my old Scout was the same colour) but this looks ace...

Thanks, I think that's nice. New A4 wheels have correct tyre size.

Just found this searching for something else. 245/40 on 19" ET 45 wheels fitted to the Scout I (OctII) if that helps.  Speedo was spot on with GPS too.
