Amunsen MIB 1 Additional Audio Codecs

Featured Replies

Hi has anyone managed to install additional codecs, especially for FLAC to an Amundsen MIB 1?

Thank you

Dunno - have you tried a file of that type in the unit? Maybe it can be played even though the feature may not be officially listed.

According to my Amundsen manual, .flac files are supported although I've always favoured .mp3.

I've loaded a test .flac onto a USB stick and will report back - if you've not already tried it.

Nope.

Nope.

Thanks for trying, confirms my own experience

You're welcome.

I'll just stick with whatever will play, usually .mp3. It's all music, innit? If I have something that won't play but I really want it, I'll convert it.

Yes, have most of my portable music as flac and I convert to mp3s at 320kbs for the car, just thinking of ways to cut out that step.
