Recently fuelled my Astronomy hobby with the purchase of a Hydrogen Alpha solar telescope.

 

Using a CCD imaging camera i have managed to achieve this :-

Wow, that really puts some things into perspective. When I think that for many centuries, millennia even, astronomers have guessed and tried to work out what goes on in the Sun. Early crude images were taken with bespoke or cobbled together equipment and yet here we are today, when a talented hobbyist can take such a fantastic picture. Well done sir
