Hi! I'm considering changing the door mirrors of my Chinese-Spec FL Octavia II into auto dimming mirrors. By searching the net I found that the part number for auto dimming mirror is 8T0 857 535 H/8T0 857 536 H which is the same on some Audi models(A4, Q3, etc.), but it seems that FL Octavia II only have auto dimming on driver's side, so does any one know if I have to wire the mirror all the way to the mirror inside the car or if there's a port on the passenger side door I can just plug in?

I added this to my car

 

My car originally came with an auto dimming interior mirror

 

The wire from the mirror to the drivers door plug was there, I had to add the wires from that plug to the door controller and mirror

 

Passenger side had no wiring

 

Also check that your interior mirror is wired for it as a pin in the plug doesn't mean that it supports it
