Octavia Scout BMM TDi 2ltr PD - no info !

Featured Replies

Hi Dont know if I am doing something wrong but there is no info on my engine on the Ross Tech site, if I look on the Skoda Octavia mk2 page it doesn't list a PD 2ltr TDi only a CR or a 1.9PD, I have done a search and BMM is not listed ! cheers Stuart

It's not a very common engine mate and most of Ross techs data is gathered and mainly applicable to those cars available to the American market.

What do you want to know, what are you trying to do?

Hi All,  the car has started having a lumpy tickover and I would like to monitor some sensors to find out whats going on and I was hoping there was some data online, I have found one website that says it could be - DMF,INJECTORS,EGR FLOW RATE, or even a cracked cylinder head 03G103351 A or B, 03G103308 A or B, and says that suffix C is fine, so I will have to give it a good looking at, cheers Stuart

Pretty sure the porous head problem covered 16v 2L engines, not 8v like the BMM.

The egr valve can be removed and checked with relative ease, it's electronic and lives at the back and they often clog.

I thought the EGR and cooler were a pig to get at on the Scout and 4x4?

It's right at the top round the back of the head, you can remove the valve without taking out the entire housing.

Oh, I thought the actual valve was part of the cooler, not on the intake pipework.

It's in a large alloy housing at the back. The valve is held in by 3 bolts and has a single plug on it then it pops out.

Thanks for that lads, I will have a go tomm if it stops raining ! What engine is it similar too if I wanted to run some checks ? any good measuring blocks to monitor eg groups ? cheers Stuart

The seat alhambra BRT or the vw BLS engine with dpf are essentially the same lump.
