Have a look on forge motorsport for the dv and induction kit

Pricey but with all forge stuff you get what you pay for

Hi

Because of the body kit on the Monte I'm pretty sure you can't get mud flaps for it.

I used a generic cone filter on mine and that did give a nice sound and you could hear the turbo spooling more clearly, no power gains though.

Team Heko do a great set of wind deflectors

You might want to look at upgrading the headlight bulbs to either night breakers or an after market HID kit as the lights are awful.

As fas as styling mods go, buy cheap buy twice

Common problems are pull to the left, headlights are crap and normally set too low and may need raised on the unit itself and several cars had creaky steering which was a dodgy track rod end.

All in all though an excellent reliable little motor, plenty of poke for about town and very easy to remap with good power gains. Do you have the 86 or 105ps?

Performance creations on eBay do rally style mudflaps specifically for the monte

Thank you everyone for your detailed responses and links to the websites i will have a look now :) ive ordered some team heko wind deflectors and will look into the dump valve it is a bit pricey but as you say you get what you pay for :) thanks everyone :D

Welcome to the forum.

You do get what you pay for with a BOV on a 1.2 TSI,  some Dump Valve Noise, and no performance increase.

A Remap or a Tuning box will give you 130 bhp plus and not draw attention to you.

Would that be a stage 1 re map?? Who would you recomed to do it?

http://goapr.co.uk

Would be good.

But inly if you are OK getting insurance with a Remap.

Shark Performance could be another.

You could fit a Bluespark  or TMC Tuning box, but as well to get a Remap probably.

How will the insurance company know tho??

How will the insurance company know tho??

Very straight forward

Have a serious accident and all they do is plug a computer in and its very easy to see if a car has been remapped.

Then you will be in a whole pile of trouble. Say you hit someones house and caused structural damage.

You havent declared your mods so your insurance is invalid. Insurance companies will do anything not to pay out on a claim.

Then your spending the next 40 years of your life paying the debt off. But on the plus side you did save £200 on your premium #winning
