suspension

Featured Replies

I'm looking for new suspension for my octy mk2 fl 2009, can somebody answer below questions :

a. would self levelling xenons be affected ?

b. best option to go for ?

c.what exactly do i need shocks , drop links , top mounts ?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

What are you after? Performance or comfort? Or, if you're willing to spend mega money, both?

From what I understand, the self-levelling xenons should be fine but if you drop it too much then the sensors will be out of range and cause you problems. Just make sure to remove the sensors before replacing the springs/dampers to avoid damaging them and make sure the arms point the right way when refitting.

As for other parts that are worth doing at the same time, anything that is worn is probably the right answer! Be interested to hear other peoples views on this.

My FL as approaching 100k so I'll be looking to refresh the suspension at that point, probably going to use a B12 kit as they seem well liked for normal use.

If you see the lowering thread you will read that for us the Bilstein B12 kit is the perfect compromise and most if of the time superior to the std suspension

I've got some bc racing fully adjustable coilovers for sale in the parts classifieds. You're not going to get anything for the price.

Did you have a drop and budget in mind for the kit?

I've just had an st kit installed. Looks like it's basically the weitec kits with labels stuck over lol and I bought it direct from kw in Germany so saved a bit. Have to say it's great, id say about a 25mm drop and really comfy. So much more confidence round corners now and it hasn't even been aligned yet!

Hi All ,

Thank you for your support and sorry for late reply. I decided to go for exhaust instead of suspension. All your comments would be use in next occasion when i get money for suspension.

One more times big thanks to all of you
