Squeaky B post trim

Featured Replies

I've been tracing an annoying plastic squeak from the interior of my car this evening, It seems to be coming from the lower 'B' post trim by the seatbelt fixings. Pushing and pulling the lower section around a little seems to have stopped it for now, but has anyone else had similar squeaks from this area?

Does it happen around 1700/1800 rpm?

Any revs to be honest, but seems to be only when the weather is warmer or the sun has been shining on the nearside of the car?

Did you try removing it?

Thanks for the pictures wlange. I haven't removed it as yet, just a good prod and push around the area to identify where it was coming from. I am certain it is this area, so if it continues I will take it off and see if I can pad it out a little to prevent the noise.

Maybe sliding a piece of thin spacer (fleece?) between the sections could help?

The seat height adjuster lever also rattles against the plastic trim on the seat. I've put a piece of self adhesive felt between it and the trim, now lovely and quiet.

Thank for this. I had a clicky noise from the back near side that I couldn't find the cause. Read your post and tried the b pillar, sorted. Thanks
