Speedometer Fabia 2015

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had a speedo fail on a new Fabia ?  we are waiting for it to go in to the workshop to be sorted , I first rang Skoda Assist as the Dealer said to try that, as they couldn't offer us a courtesy car until the 16th May!! but Assist said it sounds like the sensor but as the car was drivable they couldn't come out.

We aren't having much luck with our Skoda,s  as this is our second new car since last April, we bought the Diesel 90psi that kept stopping on us, so we changed it for a petrol  last August, we lost £ 3.000 having to change it! our fault as we went away in our motorhome two weeks after buying the first one so it was 2 months before we took it back and changed it.

What Im wondering is this a common fault or is it just us that are unlucky.

I think you have been very unlucky I have had my sel 90 since last April with no problems so far. Does your mph show up on the maxidot screen or have you lost that as well. I remember your posts about your first car stalling a lot. Hopefully you only need a replacement sensor Joe

If you are not getting speed indicated on speedo or maxi-dot then surely car is not legal to drive? Even maxi-dot readout might be questionably legal.

Any update?

If there is no courtesy car according the Skoda Assist any time someone is left without a safe and legal car that is not an issue,

Skoda UK can hire one or supply one of their many many 'Management Cars; they register and Dealerships have employees driving as a perk of the job.

That is what Manufacturers Warranties are for, so that Paying Customers have usable transport.

If Dealerships can not provide customer service and Skoda UK can not there is no wonder that they are dropping down Consumer Surveys

for Customer Service.
