Gasket seal change question - 2.0 TFSI

Hi all,

I have what appears to be an oil leak from the gasket seal on my VRS 2.0TFSI- changing the gasket is not a problem, but having taken a look at a tutorial elsewhere- http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=7920.0

The forum user has said to fit a new rocker cover too....I am just wondering what is the reason behind this

If anyone has done this themselves and has any tips
