My Nascar Design Made It Into "motorsport News"

Featured Replies

Not Skoda related, I know - but, hey, I own a vRS.

I'm doing some work for new NASCAR team "Torquespeed Carter", a joint UK/US operation, and the "demo" team car that I produced obviously went out with the press release.

Just wanted to shout out as I'm a bit chuffed about it :)

Regards,

Mark

Good man! 15minutes of fame.

Thx, dude. I'm actually hoping for more than 15 mins as there is a small chance that one of my efforts might actually make it onto a Nextel Cup car! I've got everything crossed. How cool will it be to have a "toy" car replica of a car with my design on it?

Gets me excited, anyway!!

Regards,

Mark

Any pictures we can admire?

There's a pic here:

and one here:

The latter is the one that made it into the paper (in black and white)

I should say that whilst the paint-job design is mine, I did not build the 3D model nor the base Ford Taurus template which were used in producing the render. I have to thank the NASCAR Racing 2003 Season painting and presentation community (yes, there is one, and it's strong!) for those.

Mark

ps if I'd known the shots were gonna get released nationally like this I'd have paid a little more attention to detail, but it still looks reasonably tidy, IMNSHO...

:D

Looks very nice indeed. They do have a load of sponsors, don't they :D

Personally I quite liked this design, but I am biased ;)

That is BUSY!

What was the deal there?

Mark

Each square was sold as a place for a sponsor. This made it possible for Joe Public to have his name on one of the Le Mans 2001 cars driven by Jan Lammers... shame they didn't finish.
