Chunks new bike!

Featured Replies

It's my first proper bike (600cc) and I'm picking it up on Thursday!

That is all...

Congrats... Any more info? What have you bought?

It's in really good condition has full service history, 12 months mot, 3 months warranty and I had a good extended test ride and it rides really well.

Looking forward to picking it up now!

Looks nice, never had chance to ride a GSXR but hear a lot of good things.

Safe riding

Very nice mate!

My mate would be very jealous. Thats his favourite shape GSXR and he's never been able to own one.

Enjoy!

More pics when you pick it up, please? :D

Bet you're well excited!

Proper excited! If you guys could point me in the direction where I could buy a good quality rear stand as well that would be appreciated.

Personally id be cautious of Paddock Stands. They really need 2 people to operate and i've never been too keen.

I've got an Abba Stand for the T. One man operation, properly stable and easy to operate.

Thanks mate I found one on eBay which comes with the fitting kit and is £112 delivered.

Also recommendations for a decent disc lock? I already have a chain bit just want a little bit more security for peace of mind.

Have you ordered it yet?

abba stands website is slightly cheaper. I paid £106 with kit, delivered.

Disc. I used to use an Xena alarmed one and it was great, but people on here havent seemed so keen when ive mentioned it before :D.

Not ordered yet just added to my watched list. I will do a bit of googling and see what sort of prices other websites have it for.

You wont be disapointed mate :)

Congrats Chunk. Good solid bikes. Had 2 x 750's of that generation. Very nice to ride and easy to work on.

Here it is on the Abba stand which arrived yesterday.

Now all I need to do is wait for a couple of days off work to go for a decent ride!

Winner! Very nice.

How are you finding it?

Pleased with the Abba?

Yeah the bike is ace! All be it that I have only previously owned a Yamaha YBR 125!

The stand is brilliant so easy to set up and use and looks really good as well.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Glad you're pleased!

Bet it feels a fair bit bigger and faster doesnt it? Haha

Cracking looking bike chunks, very very nice.

Can certainly ser the appeal for that stand. Used to work for micron years ago so had free paddock stands which ate perfect for removing both wheels.

My mate had a Micron on his ZZR600. Didnt realise till lately, they've gone bust haven't they? or no longer trading at least?

Yeah went bust back in 2008. I jumped ship couple of months before.

Nice systems though, especially the hydroformed stuff.

Thought as much. Lucky escape was it? aha.

He only had a can, but it was nice enough tbf! he was abit gutted when he found out theyre bust aha.

I do wonder what your job is now Dave, to be honest. You might of said but i cant remember! Anyway, that might be a conversation for tomorrow if we get round to it between the cake and tea! :D

Nice bike Chunk. The Gods must be smiling on you as they've let you have a sunny weekend too to enjoy it.
