dash warning lamp - need to know what it is

Featured Replies

The little red temp guage in the top left of my dash guages flashed this morning. As I didn't have my handbook with me I left the car at home and took the other car. Can anyone look this up for me please and tell me what it is before I get home this evening.

Thanks

Andy

your cooling water needs topping up

Ahh thanks mate, I can do that this evening :):):)

Or, more likely at this time of year is that the sensor in the coolant bottle needs replacing. They begin to play up in the cold.

Well it was below 0 this morning. I'll still check the level !!!

Andy

mine does this at random times when first start on very cold days - coolant level sensor prob as said or coolant temp sender prob. i just ignore it now and it goes when ignition re-booted after engine warmed slightly

I can clear it if I turn the ignition off, pull the key and then restart. Its due for a service in a couple of weeks so I'll just get them to check it along with the faulty headlamp motor !
