Does anyone know how to disable the anoying beeps when central locking pressed. It seems to make a beep/chirp noise when locking and unlocking.

Yes. it needs to be deactivated in VCDS.

Can be removed from the maxi dot display too

I was hoping there was a sequence with key etc

If no one local to you has one, a carista dongle + app can do it too, About £40 for it all. It's good as it reads codes and can be used with monitoring software such as Torque.

As planehazza has said above, Carista can do that ... It's a brilliant little app (iOS and Android) that is well worth the money,
