Does anyone here know if a columbus head unit that is from a Skoda Octavia 2011 will be a straight swap with the non sat nav stereo in a Superb 2010?

 

I have seen one in a breakers yard advertised.  

 

Next question how big a deal is the fact that they dont know the code?

Should be, but you might need to update your canbus. You can get a code from a specialist or ask Skoda but if I recall they charge for it. 

Various eBay sellers will also provide the code for not much money :-)

The Code can be gotten for around £12 from Ebay. Swap itself is easy enough, but you will also need a new Plastic Surround (approx. £30 from Skoda).

 

Then you will have to get the car hooked up to VCDS to activate the Columbus in the System, so that it's Information are displayed on the MFD etc.

Thanks All, I have been looking on ebay and there seem to be plenty of units sent from Lithuania and similar which seem to have the code and the gps receiver. 

 

It seems like an option worth considering.

Be aware that the Columbus is one of the most commonly stolen head units across Europe. Ebay is littered with stolen units. Caveat Emptor!

I wouldn't get one from there, but there is a supplier in Manchester who could help you. Search Columbus or RNS510 on here.
