2011 fabia green line clutch

Featured Replies

Hi ,my daughter has a 2011 fabia green line 1.2 tdi and I would like to know if the clutch is adjustable

She has phoned to say that she can't get up hills the engine revs but won't go up the hill sounds like clutch slip but she is 70 miles away so I can't check it out myself

If there isn't any adjustment any idea on cost for a clutch job?

Thanks

Hi seems my phone call about clutch slip was not quite right further conversation revealed she very poor acceleration and won't go any faster than around 40 mph engine management light is on she only does short runs of around 10miles each way to work

Could it be a blocked dpf ? She can't give it a high speed run cos it won't go so fast!

needs to be plugged in to establish the fault

have a look at the thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com/ for someone near you who can plug your car in and help diagnose your issue, not expensive most who help just require a few beer tokens

if it is the DPF clogged it will need a forced regen, it could also be a failed dpf sensor or several other things that give you describe, so until an error code it read it is guesswork

Sounds very typical of DPF. Around £170 for a forced regen at Skoda. Or try a VW dealer if closer as they usually share engines. (Mine is the earlier 09 with same 1.4 diesel engine as Polo).  BTW, clutches are around £600 from a dealer, £320 from Mr Clutch!  Same warranty, quality parts used.
